My Background

A bit more
about me.

A bit more
about me.

I’m Ishika Vasnani, an Industrial Design student who thrives on blending creativity with purpose.

My journey into design started back in 11th grade at Sacred Heart School, Kalyan. We had a design lab, and I remember spending hours there, just messing around with mini projects. That’s also when I got introduced to Blender, which opened up a whole new world of 3D design for me.

At the time, I didn’t have a clear idea of what I wanted to do, but design kept pulling me in. My dad’s a mechanical engineer, so growing up, I was always surrounded by machines and tools, that definitely left an impression. Eventually, I realised that industrial design perfectly blended creativity and engineering, and it just felt right.

Since then, I’ve been learning and experimenting with tools like Blender, Fusion 360, Procreate, Illustrator, and Da Vinci Resolve. I’ve also spent quite a bit of time working with manual and power tools, which helps me bring ideas into the real world, not just on screen.

My design style leans toward minimalism. I genuinely believe that good design doesn’t need to shout, it just works. Mies van der Rohe’s “less is more” really resonates with me, and I try to bring that philosophy into everything I create. For me, it’s all about making things that are useful, thoughtful, and easy to connect with.
